Terrance Lau happy to get first Golden Horse nomination

2 Oct – Terrance Lau is elated to receive a nomination at the 57th Golden Horse Awards.

The actor, who was nominated for his performance in the Hong Kong movie, "Beyond the Dream", took to social media to express his thoughts about his first Golden Horse nomination in the Best New Performer category, saying that he is grateful for the recognition.

"Being able to compete with so many outstanding actors is very meaningful. To be nominated for the first time at the Golden Horse Awards is the greatest honour I have ever received in my life - not just individually, but also as a representative of Hong Kong films," he wrote.

Terrance also added that he looks forward to have more exchanges with fellow actors from across the sea and to work with more Taiwanese filmmakers in the future.

It is noted that the actor has already won multiple accolades for his performance in the said movie, including Best Actor at the 26th Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards, and Best New Actor at the 14th Hong Kong Film Directors Guild Awards.

Terrance will be competing with the likes of Wu Yi-jung ("Dear Orange"), Edward Chen ("Your Name Engraved Herein"), Chen Yan-fei ("The Silent Forest"), and fellow Hong Kong actor Heyo ("The Way We Keep Dancing").
