Teresa Mo opens up her own bakery
2 Jan – Although she previously studied at Le Cordon Bleu and could open a real restaurant, actress Teresa Mo decided to settle on opening a bakery instead.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who recently launched her own cookie shop, MM+f bakery culture in Fortress Hill, shared that opening up a bakery is much easier than a restaurant that may take up more of her time.
"I will not sacrifice the time I spend with my two daughters, though they have grown up," she said.
Teresa also revealed that she decided to establish a bakery since her husband Tony Au likes to eat cookies.
"Whenever he sees beautifully packed cookies, he will buy it. But if it doesn't taste good, he will set them aside. So, I decided to learn how to make good cookies," she said.
Speaking about her cookie shop, Teresa said that she is responsible for making and developing her cookies, while her perfectionist husband is responsible in designing the store and the packaging.
"There are inevitable flaws in the process, not unlike our 24-year of marriage. There were a lot of rocky edges and corners, but after 24 years, it has been ground into two smooth stones," she said.
