Tavia Yeung and Him Law change Chinese names
28 Oct – Him Law and Tavia Yeung recently announced that they have decided to change their Chinese names for the sake of their daughter.
As reported on Mingpao, the news was shared by the former TVB actress on Instagram on 27 October to celebrate daughter Hera turning six months old.
She wrote, "In a blink of an eye, Hera is already half a year old. Over the past year or so, we have undergone many changes. We have made this decision for the betterment of our family. Today in 2020, we will share this news with you... we have decided to change our names."
Tavia, who was previously named Yeung Yi revealed that she is now Yeung Sin Yiu, while Him (originally Law Chung Him) is now Law Chi Yik.
Asked about the name change, Tavia shared that she and Him have already gone through the procedures to change the name on their ID card. The decision was made as a way to improve their feng shui and change "the family's luck" when it comes to their health.
It is noted that Tavia had difficulty conceiving in the past due to her poor health, having suffered from rheumatoid arthritis and several other ailments.
