Taiwanese actress Luo Peiying found dead at home

5 Aug – Taiwanese actress and TV personality Luo Peiying was recently found dead at home.

As reported on Epoch Times, police revealed that the body of the actress was found on 3 August at her residence in Taipei's Songshan district by a friend, who went to find Luo after failing to get in touch with her for two consecutive days.

According to the said friend, he or she went to Luo's place at 9pm on the aforementioned date, and found Luo lying on her back on the bed with her limbs bent, which showed signs of struggling.

The police stated that Luo could have already passed away for two days prior to the discovery.

External intervention had been initially ruled out, though no suicide note was found to confirm that she had killed herself. It was also suspected that Luo's death could have something to do with her habit of using sleeping pills.

Luo, who started her career more than 30 years ago, had starred in various dramas and was also known for her frequent appearance on the Taiwanese variety show, "Kangxi Lai Le", but rarely appeared on screen in recent years. She was also known to be a close friend of the late dancer Serina Liu, who passed away in March this year.

She was 59.
