Miriam Quiambao: Second chance at love/NPPA Images

Now that the Metropolitan Trial Court in Taguig has released her divorce papers, former beauty queen Miriam Quiambao is free to walk down the aisle with her fiancé, businessman-author Ardy Roberto Jr.

On March 11, Miriam posted the following: "Thank you so much Hon. Judge Leili Cruz Suarez for releasing the finality of my recognition of divorce!!! Praise God for answered prayer! #100happydays Day 41"

In an interview after the fashion show Laces and Bustiers at SM Skydome where she modeled bridal gown creations last Friday, March 14, Miriam revealed that she will have a garden wedding and the venue is out of town.

“I’m so blessed to have this second chance at love.  Sabi nga sa church namin, love is a decision. Kung alam ninyong  totoo talaga, bakit pa ninyo patatagalin? Hindi na naman kami bata,” Miriam said.

Miriam reveals that Coney Reyes and Alex Tinsay, both of 700 Club, are among the  wedding sponsors.  And since her husband-to-be already has a house of his own, she will convert her own home into a halfway house once they settle down.

From ‘Tita M’ to Mama

Her fiance’s only child, a six-year-old boy  (his mom has passed away),  has already decided to call his “Tita M” “Mama” after his dad and Miriam get married.

Miriam says that she is so blessed to have a good relationship with the boy, who will act as the ring bearer in her wedding.

“Siguro miss na nya mommy niya.  Bago pa nanligaw sa kin ang dad nya,  the boy prayed and told my fiance, ‘Mommy is looking down on us and my wish for you is that you will have a good wife.”

Her future stepson, adds Miriam, is everything a mom can dream of.  He is independent, good and a diligent student.

Instant Mommy

“Bumawi ako . Hindi nawala ang panahon. Tawag ko don, Lucky me, instant Mommy!”

As for having her own child by Ardy, Miriam said she’s willing to wait.  She and her future groom are already choosing honeymoon destinations.

Miriam married Claudio Rondinelli in 2004 at a sunset beach wedding in Boracay.
