Syamsul Yusof denies rumours that second wife Ira Kazar is pregnant
22 Mar – Syamsul Yusof has denied reports which alleged that his second wife Ira Kazar is currently pregnant with their first child.
The filmmaker, who appeared along with his lawyer at the Shariah Court recently, stated that reports about Ira's pregnancy is nothing but slander, that he has been asked about it by friends and strangers alike.
"Honestly, she is not pregnant. If she is, I would tell you. But if people keep saying that, what can I say but praise be to Allah? But no, she is not," he said.
As for the multiple accusations against him following the breakdown of his marriage with Puteri Sarah Liyana, Syamsul said that he hopes people will pray that he can be a good husband.
"Getting married is my way of repenting. You can say whatever you want. I heard some people want to boycott my movie. I do feel sad hearing that, but I believe in God's blessings," he added.
Syamsul, who married Ira Kazar, or real name Faghira Fatini, is already father to two children, Syaikhul Islam and Sumayyah with estranged wife, Puteri Sarah Liyana.
