Sunny Wang regrets previous "sissy" remark

23 Aug – Sunny Wang is now regretting his previous refusal to cater to a female fan, after she requested him to do a heart shape pose with her while promoting his new movie, "Gatao: Like Father Like Son".

As reported on Oriental Daily, the actor, who was accused of gender discrimination after telling the fan that he won't do "sissy gestures", told the media on 21 August that he has now changed his attitude about the whole thing and will turn back to "the sunny boy that everyone loves".

Sunny said that he actually discussed with the producer before the movie was released, hoping to create a different way of promotion. However, he did not expect that it would turn out this way.

"It is indeed inappropriate to use the word sissy. The movie belongs to everyone. I shouldn't have said that kind of thing," he added.

Saying that he has thought a lot after the incident, Sunny expressed, "I understand why it caused dissatisfaction among netizens. That was not my intention, and everyone who knows me knows it."

As for losing fans due to his gaffe, the actor said, "I can only accept that. If there is a chance in the future, I hope they can understand me better."
