Steven Cheung borrows money to pay debt
31 Jul – It was reported that BOY'Z member Steven Cheung has recently borrowed from several celebrity friends in order to pay his debt to all the women he deceived in the past.
As reported on Mingpao, following news of his cheating scandal, it was revealed that Steven had actually borrowed money from all the women involved, including stage actress April Leung, whom he shared a rental apartment with in Wan Chai.
Sources close to April claimed that while the two shared the apartment, it was the actress who paid the rent the most, which was around HKD15,000 a month. The actress reportedly has demanded that he paid her HKD100,000 by the end of the month after being blindsided by the news that Steven is getting married to the mother of his child.
It is said that Steven is now trying to clean up the mess and deal with his debts first, and has been doing so by borrowing from his duo partner Kenny Kwan and fellow artiste Yumiko Cheng.
While Kenny has declined to elaborate more on the subject, Yumiko admitted that she did lend the singer some money.
"We have known each other for so long. I hope he can handle everything as soon as possible," she said.
