Stefanie Sun finally announces second pregnancy
26 Jan – After much speculations, Singaporean singer-songwriter Stefanie Sun finally admits to be pregnant with her second child.
As reported on China Times, on 25 January, the singer's record labels MAKE/MUSIC and Universal Music Group confirmed the news through a press statement, which read, "MAKE / MUSIC and Universal Music Group would like to share the joy of Stefanie Sun Yanzi and her husband, who are expecting a new addition to their family in 2018."
"We would appreciate if fans and media alike can give Yanzi and her family the privacy they enjoy. At the same time, we thank everyone for your concern and well wishes as we count down to the arrival of the baby!"
Stefanie has also shared the statement on her official Facebook account, and wrote, "Thank you all for your concern."
Rumours of a second pregnancy sparked earlier this year when she cancelled an autograph session for her new album. She also posted an ambiguous message on Weibo about being hungry in the middle of the night, which many guessed was due to a pregnancy.
Married to businessman Nadim Van der Ross, the singer and husband already have a five-year-old son born a year into their marriage.
