Year of the Guardian Dragon collection from Starbucks

Lunar New Year 2024 is about welcoming the ubiquitously most auspicious Zodiac sign of the lot: the Dragon. The dragon is the only mythical creature to own a place on the Zodiac table, and it comes with an interesting backstory.

The story goes that during the race to determine the 12 Zodiac animals, the Dragon, which could have easily come first in the race, got distracted by a village that was suffering from drought. After providing rain to save the village, the Dragon continued the race, and was declared the fifth zodiac animal by the Jade Emperor, supreme ruler of Heaven and Earth.

So yes, the benevolent Dragon deserves the honour of a seat at the Zodiac table for sure, and perhaps some space in your home and heart for these fearsome cups and tumblers from Starbucks Dragon collection?
