Fancy a lychee-flavoured Sprite 'zero'? Introducing the Coca-Cola Freestyle 7000 dispenser
The new Coca-Cola Freestyle 7000 dispenser has arrived in Singapore and it promises something for everyone with its wide variety of drinks, along with healthy options.
Launched on Friday (29 September) morning at the Yoshinoya outlet at Our Tampines Hub, it is the first Coca-Cola Freestyle 7000 dispenser to be debuted in Asia.
Customers who dine at restaurants with the dispenser, can choose from over 55 beverages. These beverages combine typical soft drinks such as Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Dasani and A&W with fruit flavours such as cherry and orange. There are also new mango and lychee options which are exclusive to Singapore.
The machine is easy to use as it is touchscreen-operated with a user-friendly experience. The machine also has buttons on its side for who prefer to do things the non-touchscreen way.
Customers can first choose from four broad categories – all drinks, low-/no-calorie drinks, caffeine-free drinks or fruit-flavoured drinks – before proceeding to choose the type of soft drinks and flavour. This gives customers the ability to personalise their beverages.
Over 40 of these drinks are not available packaged in ready-to-drink formats at supermarkets and customers can also create their own exclusive drinks by mixing and matching what they like.
Out of the over 55 beverages available, 30 have low- or no-sugar content, and have been awarded the Healthier Choice symbol by the Health Promotion Board.
A Coca-Cola spokesperson told Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore that this is just one of the many steps the company has been taking in the ongoing “sugar war”. Coca-Cola also plans to reduce its sugar content by 10 per cent across all its drinks by 2020. On top of that, smaller sized drinks such as mini-cans have also been considered.
“This is part of Coca-Cola efforts to ensure that Singaporeans can find healthy drinks in more places, and in a way that is fun and interactive for everyone,” said Khoo Ewe Leong, strategic planning director of Coca-Cola Singapore Beverages.
Different drinks have also been recommended to be consumed with different foods. For example, sprite zero orange is best consumed with Yoshinoya’s Hokkaido Seafood Don while the Coca-Cola zero vanilla is best consumed with the beef bowls.
A total of 38 Coca-Cola Freestyle 7000 dispensers are set to progressively roll out in the near future at popular food stores such as Nando’s, Dunkin’ Donuts and Wingstop.
The launch of the Coca-Cola Freestyle 7000 dispenser comes in line with the opening of Yoshinoya’s fifth new concept store at Our Tampines Hub.
