If you’ve always wondered if that Coke Zero is really healthier than a regular Coke, well, it looks like the Health Promotion Board (HPB) thinks it is. Coca-Cola Singapore announced on Monday (20 March) that some of their beverages will now carry the ‘Healthier Choice’ symbol.

The symbol, which requires accreditation by the HPB, will be placed on Coca-Cola’s lower and no-sugar products, such as Coca-Cola Zero, Coca-Cola Light, as well as their water, teas and isotonic drinks.

The ‘Healthier Choice’ symbol is being introduced along with label changes, and will start appearing in stores from late March.

Ahmed Yehia, Country Manager of Coca-Cola Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei said, “Clear and simple information can help make it easier for consumers to continue to enjoy the products they love, while simultaneously encouraging and enabling them to manage their sugar and calorie intake. ”

Coca-Cola Singapore offers more than 40 different beverages islandwide, including the popular namesake drink and a range of lower-calorie and no-sugar drinks, such as Coca-Cola Zero, Coca-Cola Light, Aquarius, Sprite Zero, Schweppes Soda, Glaceau vitaminwater, Heaven and Earth Green Teas and Ayataka.
