Sofia Richie Grainge’s Baby Shower Was The Definition Of Quiet Luxury
After cementing her status as the doyenne of all things 'quiet luxury' with her A-list wedding at Antibes' infamous Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, Sofia Richie Grainge can also now add 'mother' to her expanding job title.
The influencer and daughter of Lionel Richie gave birth to her first child with husband Elliot Grainge on May 20 and, fittingly, the couple has bestowed upon their daughter a name with a secret and special meaning: Eloise Samantha Grainge.

Announcing their baby's arrival to the world, Richie Grainge shared an adorable snap of her baby's feet on May 24 with the simple caption of her daughter's name and birthday and the sweet statement, 'best day of my life.'
The name the couple chose is special to the pair as Eloise's middle name is a tribute to her late grandmother. Elliot’s mother, Samantha Berg, suffered complications during his birth in 1993. She fell into a coma after an amniotic fluid embolism and did not survive.
The couple's choice of name for their first child has already received rave reviews from their legion of famous friends, with Emily in Paris star Lily Collins among those to have already commented on Richie Grainge's post. 'Omg what a name!! So excited for you guys,' she wrote. Recent mother-to-be Hailey Bieber also bid congratulations to the pair, as did their mutual friend, Kylie Jenner.
To celebrate Eloise's birth, Richie Grainge hosted a baby shower at her home on June 8, which was obviously in keeping with her new status as the queen of 'quiet luxury.' The Nudestix ambassador shared images to her Instagram account of tables of Baby Dior gifts, personalised cocktails (including Papa's Little Girl and The Eloise) and bespoke T-shirts with her daughter's name on.
Richie Grainge admitted in an interview in January that she experienced her first pregnancy symptoms showed up when she traveled to Milan for fashion week. She thought she had jet lag at first, but when she got home and took a test, it was positive.
The couple are believed to have first transitioned from friends to more-than-friends in March 2021, when Richie Grainge shared a photograph of her now-husband to her Instagram. For Grainge's birthday in November 2021, Richie Grainge shared a kissing pic of the pair, writing, 'You are everything to me. I love you, happy birthday babe.'
By April 2022, Grainge had proposed to her and one year later, the pair tied the knot in the South of France, with the bride opting to wear custom Chanel.
