Now that Labor Day is behind us, Americans are looking ahead to plan their travels for the next major holiday about 11 weeks away: Thanksgiving. This year sunny skies and family-friendly attractions are the top priorities, with Orlando as the top destination, according to Google data.

Based on Google Flights searches for travel from Nov. 24 to Dec. 1 from U.S. airports, travelers have their eyes set on the Florida leisure destination. After all, November marks the start of the most pleasant weather in O-Town, when daytime highs tend to be between 75 and 80 degrees.

Being the theme park capital of the world, endless days can be spent enjoying the attractions. At Walt Disney World, get a jump start on the festive holiday season, with the resort kicking off its celebration on Nov. 12. Meanwhile at Universal Orlando Resort, visit DreamWorks Land, which just opened in June, complete with a Trolls Trollercoaster, Shrek’s Swamp Meet, and Po’s Kung Fu Training Camp. For those with their eyes towards the skies, there’s also the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex for an insider's look outside of this world.

Of course, Orlando isn’t all about its big parks, with plenty of outdoor adventures too, whether it’s kayaking through Wekiwa Springs, taking a boat tour through Winter Park’s canals, or perhaps hiking trails like in Mead Botanical Garden or biking paths like West Orange Trail. The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens will also kick off its Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild on Nov. 15.

And when it comes to that Thanksgiving dinner, Orlando is not short on options. For example, Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort traditionally offers special menus at all of its dining establishments, while spots like Lakeside Bar and Grill at Celebration Hotel, Rosen Plaza Hotel, and Waldorf Astoria Orlando’s Oscar’s Brasserie usually offer a themed buffet. (This year’s offerings haven’t been announced, so check ahead of time.) Also new to the area is City Food Hall, a new dining concept in Ivanhoe Village opening soon.

While the Florida favorite topped the list, the rest of the top 20 shows the diversity of destinations travelers are looking for this Thanksgiving.

Orlando was followed by Cancun, New York City, Tokyo, and London. Also the list, other U.S. destinations including Miami, Las Vegas, Honolulu, Phoenix, Chicago, and Dallas, as well as European urban getaways of Paris, Barcelona, and Rome. India also has a pair of picks, Mumbai and Delhi, while Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and Bangkok also made the list.

Along with its findings, Google also offered insight on the best time to book Thanksgiving getaways, sharing that prices tend to be lowest 45 days before departure, with the lowest being between 26 to 59 days out. That means early October is the prime time to look for deals. Generally speaking, international flights should be booked as early as possible, with average flights usually the lowest 101 days before departure, with the lowest being 50 or more days before leaving.
