Siti Nurhaliza sings the OST of "Anwar: The Untold Story"

4 Apr – Siti Nurhaliza is revealed to be the voice for the OST for the upcoming biopic, "Anwar: The Untold Story".

Speaking about the song, "Menjaga Cintamu" that is composed by Andi Rianto and written by Sekar Ayu Asmara, Siti stated that she accepted the offer to record the song since she has confidence in the strength of the song.

"It does not only illustrate the loyalty that Dr. Wan Azizah has [for her husband], but generally, for all women who stay true to their partner," she said.

Siti added that she understood the lyrics to be about the sacrifice of a wife and a love that knows no bounds.

At the same time, the songstress admitted that she has wanted to work with the Indonesian composer for a long time now.

"So, this is like a dream come true for me. I thank executive producer Zulkiflee Anwar Haque and director Viva Westi for trusting me to sing the song," she added.

The movie "Anwar: The Untold Story" chronicles the political struggle of Malaysia's Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, from the time of his appointment as the Finance Minister in 1991 to his firing in 1998 that brought about the Reformasi movement.
