3 Feb – Lani Misalucha recently admitted that singing has been challenging ever since she became hearing impaired due to Bacterial Meningitis.

As reported on GMA, the singer, who has started using hearing aid after the fact, shared online, "I'm still struggling with my singing. I cannot hear my voice well as well as the music. With the tinnitus being too predominant in my head, it often times [masks] the other sounds around me that also often times driving me nuts."

"But with all of you cheering me on I'm slowly regaining my confidence. Thank you," she added.

It is noted that Misalucha recently performed on the GMA show, "All Out Sundays".

Misalucha and her husband Noli were hospitalised back in October last year after being diagnosed with Bacterial Meningitis, an infection of the membranes (meninges) surrounding the brain and spinal cord.

She then revealed that she has lost her hearing in the right ear, and only sustained a little ability to hear in her left one. However, her husband was more unfortunate, having lost his hearing abilility in both ears.
