Singapore influencer Xinde Yap admits to cheating on wife, gets blackmailed for S$20,000
SINGAPORE – Singaporean influencer, Xinde Yap, admits to cheating on his wife, Paix Wang – who goes by the handle 25___mn on Instagram – via his Instagram story on 13 December, alleging that "someone who knows about this and is using my status as a public figure to try to extort from us $20k so that this wouldn't be exposed online."
The Singaporean influencer who was managed by Dee Kosh, married his wife in January 2020, and the couple became parents to a baby girl in May this year.
Yap started his Instagram story by saying, "I am doing this post to own up to mistakes I have made as a husband and as a father." He then explained that he and his wife are being blackmailed by someone who knew about the affair but did not want to "fall for any form of intended blackmailing", and wanted to face the consequences of his mistakes.

His wife, in her two Instagram story posts, let on that while she felt "anger and disappointment; I am also extremely heartbroken". The new mother shared more details in her post, stating that the other girl "invited him to her house and initiated the physical cheating despite knowing Xinde is married and has a newborn. I am disappointed in her shameless advancement leading to their behaviour".
Standing by her husband despite being "disappointed in Xinde for taking the easy way out when the going gets tough," his wife said that she was fed continuously with explicit details of the affair by the other woman.
"When the girl realised that I was supporting Xinde through every tough conversation along the way, she began sending me screenshots of their conversations and sharing intimate details of their affair," she shared. Without stating the sum asked, his wife had also pointed out that "monetary benefits were requested in exchange for keeping this affair out of the public eye."
Wang has let on that Yap had since "regretted his actions" and promised to work on the marriage. In his story, Yap echoed what his wife said, promising to be a "better person, better father and better husband" and that he did not deserve her, vowing "to work doubly hard to protect our family".
The influencer had also asked for privacy while his family "fix what has been broken".
