Singapore actress Hong Huifang celebrates 58th birthday with surprise pajama party
Leave it to Sherry Tan to remind BFF and local actress Hong Huifang that she can still be young at heart at the age of 58 and have a pajama party.
Tan, also known as Chen Xiuhuan, threw a surprise themed birthday party for Hong over the weekend, rounding up close friends Aileen Tan, Chew Chor Meng, and of course, Hong’s hubby Zheng Geping, for the celebration. Hong’s birthday falls on 7 January.
According to photos posted on Instagram, the group was seen wearing pajamas, all ready for a good night’s sleep except for Hong, who was still in her going-out clothes and carrying her slingback.
In Mandarin, she said, “I am grateful and moved by all of you! @chenxiuhuan, there are surprises wherever you are. You are always full of positive energy. I love you!”
On Monday (8 January), Hong posted a photo of her with her family, having a birthday dinner at popular hotpot restaurant Hai Di Lao at Vivocity.
Hong began her acting career in the ’80s after she joined the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation (now known as Mediacorp) in her early 20s. She is best known for her roles in TV series Samsui Women and The Price of Peace.
