Singapore actor Mark Lee to star in Lee Chong Wei biopic
Singaporean actor Mark Lee will be starring in the upcoming biopic about Malaysian badminton star Lee Chong Wei.
The comedic actor attended the press conference of the movie “Lee Chong Wei: Rise of the Legend”, that was held on Thursday (9 November) at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
On Instagram, Mark Lee’s King Kong Media Production account shared a photo of him at the press conference along with a thank-you note to the production crew in the caption. Lee also scored a photo with the professional badminton player, Lee Chong Wei, himself.

The press conference was attended by the cast of the movie as well as executive producer Josiah Cheng. The rest of the cast include Singapore-based Malaysian actress Yeo Yann Yann (“Ilo Ilo”) and popular Malaysian actor Rosyam Nor.
Three new actors will also star in the movie, and they are Jake Eng, 13, Tosh Chan, 22, and Ashley Hua. Eng and Chan will play the young and adult Lee, respectively, while Hua will be acting as the wife, Wong Mew Choo. The movie is slated to be out some time next year.
