Shuib admits youngest son's development issues due to premature birth

19 Dec - Shuib recently confirmed speculations about his youngest son's right hand, saying that Ayash Affan's right hand is weaker compared to his left.

The comedian-turned-entrepreneur, who was asked about it after netizens noticed something peculiar about Ayash's right hand movement, said that the issue sparked due to the nature of his birth, where he had to be surgically removed from his mother, the late Siti Sarah when she was six months pregnant.

"Ayash wasn't able to breathe properly that he needed oxygen. That affected his brain and physical development. He was born prematurely and was considered a miracle baby. The doctor who delivered Ayash said that he wasn't breathing for eight seconds and that they had to insert tube into his lungs," he said.

Shuib also revealed that Ayash's right hand was always forming a fist in the first two years of his life.

"It wasn't just his hand. He had trouble walking too initially. But I am glad that he is getting better. He can use his right hand more and more now," he added.

Siti Sarah, who passed away on 9 August 2021 due to COVID-19, had undergone surgery prior to her passing in order to save her baby.
