Shirley Yeung on marriage: I am happy now!
24 Oct – Shirley Yeung was all smiles as she made her first public appearance since announcing her marriage and second pregnancy.
According to Mingpao, the actress, who attended an event held by ViuTV, admitted that she is very happy to finally be able to announce her pregnancy four months after finding out about it, especially since her marriage itself was not known to public.
"My husband is an outsider, so we wanted it to be low profile. It really is a double happiness after finding out that I was pregnant after we got married overseas," she said.
Although she is unwilling to divulge more details about her husband, Shirley stated that he is a Chinese living in Hong Kong, whom she was introduced to by their mutual friend.
"We became friends for more than a year, and dated more than half a year. We really hit it off. He is good to me, and I am really happy. He loves me with all his heart," she said.
Asked if they will be holding a wedding banquet in Hong Kong, Shirley said that they haven't thought about it yet.
"The most important thing is to be happy, that both of us love each other," she added.
As to whether her new husband knew of her past, i.e her tumultuous relationships with actor Gregory Lee and Olympic swimmer Andy Ng that led to the birth of daughter Krystal, Shirley said that they both acknowledged the fact that it was all in the past and would only focus on being happy together.
