Sharon Chan awaits the fate of "PTU 2019"

4 Jul – TVB actress Sharon Chan recently revealed that she will await the decision made by the company in regard to her new project, "PTU 2019".

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who spoke about TVB's decision to halt the series production during an appearance at the Think Big Initiative launch, shared that she has already received the temporary extension, and that they will be notified about the fate of the project after October.

"I have only started working on it for one day. No reason was given, so I am not sure [why it was stopped]. I am sure the company has its reason. We can only obey the decision," she said.

Sharon said the halt has not impacted her a lot as she has other new jobs waiting.

"PTU 2019", co-starring Mat Yeung, Sisley Choi, and Max Cheung, was originally announced in April this year as a collaboration between TVB and the Hong Kong Police Force to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the latter's establishment.

While TVB made no mention as to why the show has stopped production, many speculated that it has to do with the clashes between the police force and the anti-extradition protesters.
