Selina Jen fulfills promise to doctors and nurses

18 Aug - Taiwanese singer Selina Jen recently shared that she is proud of herself for fulfilling her promise to the hospital staff who treated her after the burns sustained over the tragedy that happened back in 2010.

As reported on Liberty Times, the S.H.E. member, who appeared on a healthy cooking show recently, shared, "I was in the hospital for three months. I was taken care by a lot of doctors and I came to know all the nurses while I was there."

Selina stated that when it was time for her to leave the hospital, the healthcare workers told her, "Selina, we do not want to see you back in here again."

She said that it is usual for burn patients to return to the hospital for more reconstructive surgery and other related ICU treatment, and the staff didn't want her to do the same.

"We made an agreement, and I fulfilled my promise. I didn't go back to the intensive care unit for any surgery, and relied on myself for rehabilitation," she said.

As she shared this, Selina couldn't help but tear up at the thought of her past injury. Back in November 2010, she suffered third degree burns on 54 percent of her body during an indoor shooting in Shanghai for "I Have a Date with Spring". She finally left the hospital on 19 January the next year.
