Selena Lee may leave TVB?

11 Jul – Rumours are rife that TVB actress Selena Lee may not be renewing her contract with the company upon its expiry.

According to Phoenix, the actress allegedly has been in talks about her contract renewal terms with TVB since February, but that TVB has not been giving her a satisfactory response regarding future opportunities.

Although Selena has been with the company for 15 years and participated in more than 30 dramas, she has yet to win a single award at the TVB Anniversary Awards for her performance.

However, she has been acknowledged internationally, having won several accolades at the StarHub TVB Awards and TVB Star Awards Malaysia.

She was also awarded Best Actress in her performance in "Once More" by the European Cinematography Awards, and the Los Angeles Film Awards.

In a previous episode of her travel show, "The Sisterhood Travelling Gang", Selena admitted to her friends that she is the only person in her group of friends who has yet to win any award from TVB.

"Sometimes I wonder if I am not good enough. Once, during the awards, I felt very discouraged. Fortunately, you girls gave me positive energy," she said.

Selena's only drama on TVB this year is the costume series, "Succession War".
