Deepika Padukone will be essaying the role of Queen Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next. The makers are going to launch a 30-second teaser of the film tomorrow morning. Looks of the lead actors Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh have been kept guarded. It will be a surprise for fans to see their favorite stars in a regal avatar. In the meanwhile, Deepika Padukone’s photos have been doing the rounds on the internet in which she can be seen in a royal attire. This has left us wondering if this will be Deepika Padukone’s look in the film. Check out the photo!

About the film, Deepika had told a leading daily, “I feel I have a lot more to give and I think I am ready for more challenging roles and films, and I am excited about one of those experiences, as ‘Padmavati’ is going to be extremely difficult. But I am ready for that experience and journey.“

This will be Deepika’s third collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali after Bajirao Mastani and Ram Leela. The magnum opus also stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. They will be seen playing Raja Rawal Ratan Singh and Alauddin Khilji respectively.

After Padmavati, Deepika will commence shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj’s next which is a biopic on Sapna Didi and also stars Irrfan Khan. It will be another challenging role for the actress to essay as this will the first biopic that she is a part of. The untitled movie is slated for an October 2, 2018, release.

Anger mounts over China's response to deadly car attack
STORY: China's government faced mounting anger Wednesday over its handling of the deadly car attack there earlier in the week - and appeared to be taking steps to limit news of the incident. On Monday, a man drove into a crowd at a sports center, killing 35 and injuring 43. But the government took nearly a day to announce the death toll, and the incident has been little reported by state media. Some online posts criticising the government's response, or questioning what the attack means for Chinese society, were rapidly removed by authorities.Candles and flowers that had been laid at the scene on Tuesday evening at the sports center's west gate later disappeared.A Reuters reporter on the scene said they were removed overnight. The west side of the sports center was blocked with metal barriers and guarded by security.Despite the efforts to clear the site, many kept dropping off fresh flowers on Wednesday morning. “It was just a spontaneous feeling that I had (when I came to lay the flowers).
