The Secret to Online Shopping without Restrictions

“The clothes there are nicer than Singapore!”

“Its way cheaper over there”

“When I go there I buy for you”

Do these very Singaporean phrases ring a bell? If your answer is yes, I’m going to share with you a shopping secret that not many Singaporeans know. After reading this article, I hope this will transform the way you do your online shopping.

By now, you should know that many e-commerce websites are programmed to cater to their respective local residents. When you are browsing an e-commerce store from Singapore, international brands such as Sephora, Timberland, Abercrombie & Fitch and Kate Spade will direct you back to their Singapore or International site. Not only you are unable to browse their full collection, the biggest frustration block has got to be the inability to access their SEASONAL SALES!

Your solution to this restriction is to use a Virtual Private Network a.k.a VPN.

With a VPN, you are able to bypass their detection and enter the specific country’s website of your choice. What a VPN provider does is they connect you to another network & computer located overseas, tricking the website into thinking that you are browsing from that country. You do not need to worry about the authorities knocking on your door – it isn’t illegal in Singapore period.

Click on the video below to know about the possible uses of it.

I need that! Where do I get my VPN?

If you’re concerned about security or if you need a more in depth understanding of VPN, you can check out this site. For your shopping pleasure, I will be introducing to you just two out of the several VPNs available in the market. Access to SALES make everyone a happier shopper!

1.Hola

HOLA is FREE and one of the easiest VPN to use. It’s as simple as installing Hola as an extension in Google Chrome and switching it on at the top right-hand corner of your Chrome Browser whenever you need access.

Through Hola, I’m able to access Abercrombie & Fitch’s U.S site while physically shopping from Singapore.

But, there’s always a catch when the service is FREE. For the case of Hola, I personally find the connection time takes slightly longer than the others. A check with the search engines also reveal mixed reviews on the security issues it faced.

If you’re not using Chrome browser, you can check out their website to find out how to get this Free VPN.

2. ExpressVPN

If you are willing to pay for fast and quality VPN, you might want to consider subscribing to ExpressVPN for as low as $8.32 a month.

Based in the British Virgin Islands, with servers across the States and in many European and South East Asian nations, Express VPN is a good all-round choice.

These VPNs work not just for shopping, but also when you need to watch videos (Netflix!) without restrictions.
