Scott Haze lands mystery role in "Spider-Man" spinoff

There are talks of the "Only The Brave" actor joining the Tom Hardy-starring "Venom"

Scott Haze rose to fame with his dynamic role of Lester Ballard in 2014 "Child Of God".

21 Oct – The upcoming "Venom" has cast its web on yet another actor to star in the movie.

Scott Haze is currently in talks for a mysterious role in the Marvel antihero solo film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

If all goes well, Haze will be sharing the set with the likes of Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed and Jenny Slate, under the direction of "Zombieland" helmer Ruben Fleischer.

Similar to all the previous "Venom" casting news, Haze's role is kept under wrap with only Hardy currently confirmed to star as the titular character.

Following his breakout role as the violent Lester Ballard in 2014's "Child of God" directed by James Franco, the actor has worked on numerous collaborations with Franco including "The Sound and the Fury", "In Dubious Battle", "The Institute" and "The Vault".

He is also a director himself with his documentary "Mully" showing later this month in North America.

"Venom" is slated to open in North America on 5 October 2018.

In the meantime, fans can catch Haze in his latest work, "Only The Brave", now showing in Singapore while fans in Malaysia and Cambodia will have to wait until 2 November and 7 December respectively to catch the movie in cinemas.
