Sayaka Yamamoto takes a break from work
29 Nov – Singer-songwriter Sayaka Yamamoto announced that she will be taking a break from her career due to poor health.
As reported on Epoch Times, the former member of Japanese idol girl group NMB48 shared the news via her official social media account, writing, "Because of poor health and the need to concentrate on recovery, I decided to take a rest. I am very sorry for the worry and distress caused to fans and everybody involved."
Her company also said that it will give priority to Yamamoto's recovery and will announce her future activities soon.
It is noted that Sayaka has started her Japan tour, "Sayaka Yamamoto Tour 2021" on the 18th of this month, which has now been cancelled.
No information was revealed as to the nature of Sayaka's actual illness.
