Sarimah Ibrahim has no plans to move abroad

 

 

5 Jun - Despite having a management contract with Fiona Cross Management in London, Che Puan Sarimah Ibrahim has no plan at all to move overseas to focus on more international projects.

The actress, who is enjoying newfound fame after starring in the hit TV series, "Lelaki Itu", stated that she is more comfortable staying put in Malaysia and doing more projects in the country.

"I am a Malay woman and I have worked here for 20 years. I've never thought about moving abroad for a work offer. Plus, I want to focus on my acting career here," she said.

Sarimah said that she didn't expect her role as Sharifah Qaidah in the drama would make her a household name again to the extent that she has been receiving offers left and right since then.

Nonetheless, the actress said that she would try not to take any roles with similar characteristics in the future in order not to be typecast.

"For my new project, I will play a role that is opposite of Qaidah," she added.
