Sammo Hung slams netizens over comments about Jackie Chan's new look
19 Mar - Sammo Hung is not amused at all by comments made by netizens about him and Jackie Chan aging like a normal human being, as he recently expressed his thoughts at the Hong Kong Directors' Guild annual dinner.
The veteran action star was recently approached by the media, where he was asked about the recent comments made by netizens about a viral photo of good friend Jackie with greying hair.
"Some people have made comments that Sammo Hung is old now. And nowadays they say, 'Oh, Jackie Chan is old now.' Is there anybody who doesn't age? Everyone will grow old. As long as Jackie is healthy and happy as he gets old, why must one speak harshly?" he said.
Seemingly affected by the comments, Sammo added, "I think the person who is saying this will never grow old because he will have no chance to do so."
The actor also stated that people in today's society have no manners and would say anything they want for the sake of profits.
"As long as someone is watching, anything can be said," he added.
