Sammo Hung to receive Lifetime award at Asian Film Awards

 

 

3 Mar - Sammo Hung has been named the recipient of this year's Lifetime Achievement Award at the upcoming Asian Film Awards.

Speaking about the recognition, the action star expressed, "I am very happy and at the same time surprised that I can still win this award these days, especially one that affirms my entire career."

Sammo joined the China Drama Academy back when he was nine years old, and became the foremost member of the Seven Little Fortunes performing group alongside the likes of Jackie Chan, Corey Yuen, Yuen Wah and other big names in martial arts movies.

He has starred in numerous films throughout his 60 years of career, including "Lucky Stars", "Shanghai, Shanghai", "Enter the Dragon", "The Bodyguard", as well as the upcoming "Kowloon Walled City".

The upcoming event will be held on 12 March at the Hong Kong Palace Museum.
