Sammi Cheng learns a lot from parents
17 Sep – Cantopop diva Sammi Cheng admitted that she has learned a lot from her parents about facing difficulties and learning new things along the way.
As reported on Wenweipo, the singer, who sat down for an interview to promote her new movie, "Fagara", shared that her father is her idol when it comes to overcoming challenges in life.
"He has bested a lot of difficulties in his life. Even now when he is not in the best of health, he would continue to encourage us to think positive. This is worth learning," she said.
As for her mother, Sammi said that the 80-year-old still continues to study and learn new things despite her age.
"She still read books to learn English. She would play with the mobile phone and keeps up with the current affairs. But she is not the creative one in the family, so I guess I got my artistic genes from my father," she said.
The singer stated that although every parent is not necessarily perfect, one should always respect their values and outlook of life, as well as their life experience.
