Sammi Cheng is inspired by Chinese diver Fu Mingxia
24 Aug – Sammi Cheng recently revealed that she will use the words of Olympic gold-medalist Fu Mingxia as an inspiration to always do her best.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer who shared a photo of her with the diving champion at her 46th birthday celebration recently, wrote, "I would always remember the words that Fu shared with me. She said, "I don't think about anything when I am in the moment. I just do my best and take my leap". As a result, she won the [gold medal] in the Olympics that year."
"Well, I do understand [what she means]. "Focus on what you should do in the moment", I have grasped the meaning of this words," she added.
Sammi also stated that she is inspired by the hard work and commitment that Fu has made for her sport, and the will and perseverance the athlete has shown everybody.
"I can only say that I still have to work harder and continue to work hard," she added.
