Sa Beining marries Canadian girlfriend

29 Mar - CCTV host Sa Beining has recently married his Canadian girlfriend, Lisa Hoffman.

As reported on Mingpao News, the TV presenter, who was more famous outside of China for previously dating actress Zhang Ziyi, posted a photo online of himself and his bride holding their marriage certificates to announce the good news.

It was revealed that Sa married Hoffman on 28 March in Beijing, a year after they first started dating. The TV host reportedly proposed to Hoffman, who is also a Guinness World Record adjudicator for the Greater China, at the beginning of this year.

The Canadian celebrity was also revealed to be a former member of Wuzhou, a girl group consisting of five women from five different countries and continents that rose to fame after winning the preliminary round of CCTV's contest, "Avenue of Stars".

The couple is set to hold their wedding banquet in Sa's hometown in Wuhan this April.
