Roy Chiu wins Face of Asia award in Busan

14 Oct – Taiwanese actor Roy Chiu was recently honoured with the Face of Asia award at the Busan International Film Festival.

As reported on Focus Taiwan, the actor, who appeared at the Asia Star Awards' event held in Busan, South Korea, became the third Taiwanese star to win the said award, following actress Ivy Chen and actor Jasper Liu.

Roy expressed his gratitude in English, saying that he is happy to win the award and hopes that the audience will enjoy the night.

The actor's new film is "The Gangs, the Oscars, and the Walking Dead", in which he plays the role of a struggling producer who ends up working with a local mob to repay his debts, only to find out that the mob boss is interested in his movie script.

On the other hand, other stars who were honoured the same night include South Korean actress-singer Im Yoon-a and Korean actor Jung Woo-sung.
