Rene Liu laughs off rumour of multimillion yuan home
13 Dec - Rene Liu has recently dismissed reports that she has bought a multimillion-yuan house in Beijing.
As reported on Epoch Times, earlier, a Weibo user posted a video showing a building, in which he said to be the Taiwanese actress' courtyard home near Tiananmen Square that she purchased for RMB 40 million and now worth hundreds of millions.
In response to the video, Rene took to Weibo to laugh off the whole thing, saying, "There is no such thing as a courtyard house. The video was taken from the Spring Breeze Bookstore opened by my husband and his friends a few years ago."
"They rented a space of tens of square metres by the Sanli River in Beijing to realise their little dream. Although they don't understand this industry at all, they are still happy to persist in trying what they want to do," she added.
