Rain Lau will not return to TVB
24 Mar – Despite the misfortune that had befallen Ricky Wong's HKTV back in 2013, actress Rain Lau stated that she will never return to TVB.
As reported on HK Top Ten, the actress, who recently appeared on a Commercial Radio interview to promote her new movie, "Little Big Master", stated that she was once Best Supporting Actress and Best New Performer at the Hong Kong Film Awards, but was demoted to unimportant roles when she joined TVB.
Rain admitted that she even had a bout of depression in the year that she made TVB's "Virtues of Harmony", after realising that her character had no potential and room for development. The series was the straw that broke the camel's back, and Rain decided to join Ricky Wong's HKTV instead when her TVB contract expired.
Unfortunately, the company was unable to obtain TV License back in 2013, and Rain decided to part ways with the company.
The actress, who is now working freelance, stated that she would rather find her way on her own than go back to TVB after the problem that the company caused her.
