Puteri Sarah Liyana unfazed by Syamsul Yusof's nusyuz filing

22 Mar – Puteri Sarah Liyana is not at all afraid of the action taken by estranged husband Syamsul Yusof, who filed a nusyuz (wife disobedience) against her amid their divorce case.

The actress, who spoke to the media recently, stated that she has done no wrong and thus will not be threatened by his decision, adding, "Why file a nusyuz now, when the problem has been going on for four years? What more does he want?"

"Do whatever you want. I am not afraid. I know I am right. Let me just remind Syamsul and Ira Kazar that they are now under investigation Act 559, the Shariah Criminal Offenses Act under section 23 which is for extramarital intercourse."

Puteri Sarah also expressed gratitude for the support shown by her mother-in-law, who agreed to be her witness and intervener in the case.

Syamsul filed the nusyuz application at the East Gombak Shariah Lower Court recently, claiming that the actress left their family home in October 2020, was in contact with her former boyfriend, and making false accuses against Syamsul for supposed physical violence and not providing support.
