PSY and Megan Thee Stallion to star in new competition series, "Kpopped"
7 Feb - What do Korean rapper PSY and Grammy winner Megan Thee Stallion have in common?
They are both involved in the upcoming Apple TV+ new competition series, "Kpopped"!
The two music icons will star in the upcoming eight-part series executive produced by Lionel Ritchie, which sees Western icons "reimagining one of their biggest hits, collaborating with top-tier K-pop idols to deliver spectacular battle performances, with a live Seoul-based audience picking the winner of the best new K-popped song," as Apple.com put it.
The series is also co-produced by Moira Ross, Lionel Richie, Miky Lee, Megan Thee Stallion and Greg Foster, alongside Harry H.K. Shin and Jake Hong, with producer Ki-woong Kim for CJ ENM Co., Ltd.
Last year, the streamer produced the docuseries "K-Pop Idols" which followed the lives of K-pop stars Jessi, Cravity and Blackswan.
Prior to the project, Apple held a music-based competition called "My Kind of Country", created by Reese Witherspoon and Kacey Musgraves.
