PIX: Game of Thrones S7 has unleashed the dragons
We’re just about 50 days or so away from the Game of Thrones S7 premiere, and just when people started getting antsy again, HBO released a new set of pictures meant to slake the thirst of many a hardcore fan.
The one that’ll grab everyone’s attention is this shot of Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) sitting atop one of her beloved dragons (I’m assuming it’s Drogon because holy shit, that dragon’s huge!) being a boss ass bitch. If it wasn’t clear before, it’s obvious now: war will be waged.
We’ve also got Jon Snow (Kit Harington) covered in…snow. And Arya (Maisie Williams) on a horse. And all that tells us is that winter has finally come, and that Arya may be making her way back to people that she can trust.
There’s also a behind the scenes peek of Cersei (Lena Headey) on the Iron Throne while Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) stands by her side.
In other images, Gwendoline Christie drops character as Brienne of Tarth, while Sansa (Sophie Turner) and Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen) are deep in discussion.
I don’t know about you, but this has just made me even more impatient for the premiere. Can winter just faster come already? In the meantime, you can read about the multiple Game of Thrones spinoffs that are in the works, and what George R. R. Martin has to say about them.
