Chinese red packets, also known as ang bao or hongbao, are an important part of the Chinese New Year traditions. Giving ang baos is a blessing of good luck and happiness, from the married couples to unmarried children, friends and relatives. These days, many companies and brands get really creative with the designs, with some skipping the conventional red colour and opting for a mix of pastels and textures.
