12 Jan – The upcoming "Avengers" movie is about to get even more awesome! Word has it, Peter Dinklage is currently being eyed for "Avengers: Infinity War".
Though his character has yet to be revealed, Variety reported that Dinklage would play a key role in the movie.
It is speculated that Dinklage may be playing MODOK (Mental/Mobile/Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing), a recurring enemy of Captain America. He was a technician formerly known as George Tarleton before he got manipulated by a research lab into a hyper intelligent being.
Casting Dinklage into the Marvel Cinematic Universe shall not come as a surprise to hardcore Marvel fans because writer-producer Christopher Markus has talked about this since "Captain America: The First Avenger" and he specifically mentioned his intention to cast the actor for this role in a 2011 interview.
If Dinklage's participation in the 2018 movie is confirmed, this would be the second Marvel character for the actor, who previously starred as Bolivar Trask, a supervillain and the creator of the Sentinel robots in 2014's "X-Men: Days Of Future Past".
"Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War" is set to be the biggest Marvel Studios project so far, to be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The Russo brothers also previously helmed "Captain America: Civil War", which went on to become the highest-grossing movie of last year.
Currently dated for release in May 2018, the filming for the movie is expected to begin this 28 February in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
