Peter Andre Only Sells 2,700 Tickets To 20,000 Capacity O2 Gig

Well this is awkward…

According to new reports, Peter Andre has only managed to sell a fraction of tickets to the London date of his upcoming ‘Come Swing With Me’ tour.

Pete is set to take to the prestigious O2 arena in March, with the venue having the capacity for 20,000 fans, however, sources say that the star has managed to sell just 2,700 of them.

The Sun also claim that Peter had already closed off two thirds of the arena, yet still can’t shift all of the remaining tickets.

A source explained: “There’s real panic. Whether Pete plays to 20,000 or 7,000 the production costs of playing a venue that size are the same.

"It could cause a real dent in earnings. It’s been suggested he plays the smaller O2 Indigo, housing 2,800, but nobody wants to admit defeat.”

It has been speculated that Peter’s stint on Strictly Come Dancing has negatively affected his career, with the crooner being dogged with rumours and speculation regarding his behaviour backstage and standing accused of being favoured by the judges.

Former professional dancer, James Jordan, was quick to accuse producers of favouring the 42-year-old just a couple of weeks into the show, and fellow celeb competitor, Jamelia, also suggested that the show was fixed after she was voted off instead of Peter.

Responding to the claims, Peter said at the time: “Jamelia’s comments made no sense to me. It was a very strange thing to say. The remarks weren’t justified and the idea of a fix couldn’t have been true as I was out the next week anyway!

"I don’t want to have a go at Jamelia as we get on really well, I just think the whole thing was misguided. I think people need to get a bit of perspective - it’s meant to be a fun dancing competition and it’s meant to be a bit of a laugh!”

His spokesperson added: “Since Peter started Strictly there have been so many false and ridiculous rumours going around.

"The story of Peter being upset backstage at Strictly is completely ridiculous and 100% untrue. Peter’s tour was planned before he started Strictly.”

Well, if anybody is struggling to think of what they can get their mum for Christmas, we highly suggest a couple of tickets to the Aussie singer’s show.
