Orange International takes responsibility over Sumandak Stars poster issue
21 Oct - Orange International Entertainment, the organiser of the upcoming "A Night with Sumandak Stars" concert, recently admitted their mistake over the issue concerning Stacy Anam's withdrawal from the event.
Datuk Mohd Fazli Idrus, the director of the company, confessed that the whole issue was due to an internal issue, and that they meant no offense towards the pop star when they revealed the poster of the concert recently.
It is noted that netizens have also questioned the decision of the organiser to put Bella Astillah front and centre in the original poster for the concert, despite the concert boasting other more worthy and award-winning Sabahan stars like Marsha Milan, Adira and Stacy.
"We've organised many concerts before, and similar poster designs never caused issues. This incident has taught us to be more cautious moving forward," he said.
Fazli stated that the situation occurred as Stacy only confirmed her participation two days before the press conference announcing the event. The team was only able to add her image in the background following her agreement.
"The team wasn't fully aware of the individual achievements of the artistes, and since the press conference was going to be held the next day, we had to rush the poster for promotion. We could have made changes if there is a request being made," he said.
It is noted that Stacy previously stressed that the poster was not the main reason why she decided to withdraw from the event, though admitted that it was one of the reasons.
The singer, in her interview, said that she has a branding that she has to preserve and that she has originally declined the offer to join the concert as it was originally called "Bella & Friends". However, after setting her conditions with the organiser, she was surprised to see that they have failed to abide by what they have allegedly agreed.
Despite the issue, Stacy said that it will not affect her relationship with Bella, seeing that they are just mere colleagues in the first place.
