One Man Coffee will close popular Upper Thomson outlet in Dec, after 10 years
The beloved coffee cafe, One Man Coffee, will be closing down their Upper Thomson outlet on 25 Dec 2023.
One Man Coffee has been operating in Upper Thomson for 10 years, and specialises in the art of the espresso. Aside from serving their signature caffeinated drinks, One Man Coffee also offers delectable mains, ranging from eggs and sourdough to pastas and sandwiches.
The cafe made the announcement on its social media on 4 Dec 2023, where it thanked its loyal patrons for the support over the years. In a comment, it explained that the rental increase had “become too great a burden to bear” and that despite the team’s love for the space, they had no choice but to give it up.
Though the popular Upper Thomson outlet will close on Christmas this year, One Man Coffee will thankfully continue to run its last remaining outlet in Fusionopolis. The news of the Upper Thomson outlet closure was met with outcry from its fans, with many expressing their sadness at the news.
While One Man Coffee can still be found in Fusionopolis, the menu there is more limited, with the outlet solely focusing on serving beverages. As such, diners who enjoy the cafe’s mains will unfortunately have to say goodbye once the Upper Thomson outlet shuts.
In response to an Instagram comment enquiring if Fusionopolis will serve food in the future, the business explained that the small space does not allow for them to serve full meals, but that they would keep “pastries and small bites in consideration”.
Before the Upper Thomson outlet closes at the end of the year, be sure to pay a final visit to enjoy their mains, such as the Baked Eggs Cocotte (S$15) and Pomegranate Chicken Salad (S$14).
The Fusionopolis outlet will also be welcoming you, if you’re looking for a classic espresso or latte.
