Nur Fazura shocked by allegations of clubbing
7 Nov - Nur Fazura has recently dismissed viral allegations that she recently went clubbing in Indonesia.
The actress-turned-entrepreneur, who was asked to respond to claims that she was seen ditching her hijab for only a hoodie and a cap to have fun at a club in Indonesia, stated that she was surprised to hear about such a thing.
"I am a normal human being and I have never said that I am the most pious of them all. But I read the Quran and I pray every day. I am working hard towards the right path and to be constant in doing so," she said.
However, Fazura admitted that she loves to dance, and that anybody who knows her and has seen how hard she works would also know that she loves to enjoy herself sometimes.
"Sometimes I will go to a karaoke place, or go out to dinner with friends. A lot of restaurants nowadays use those dim lights and would turn on the music. Maybe people misunderstood and thought I was at a club," she said.
She also expressed hope that people will continue to pray for her constancy.
"I don't want to be wearing a hijab now and then take it off later," she added, indirectly referring to the many artistes who have been doing so in recent years.
