Nur Fathia clarifies position in law firm
18 Aug - Actress Nur Fathia Latiff recently took to social media to clarify her actual position in the law firm where she works, after it was reported that she is now working in the legal industry.
In a message posted on 16 August, she wrote, "I would like to clarify that I am a clerk in a law firm. I am not a certified lawyer as being described and misunderstood by some parties."
Admitting that the misunderstanding was caused by her own mistake in explaining her role, she added, "I apologise to everybody if my statement on social media had caused any confusion."
The misunderstanding arose late last week, when Fathia posted a photo of her in a law firm, and wrote, "Officially a legal practitioner."
Many then took to the comments section to question the validity of her claims, saying that her name was not listed in the Malaysian Bar. Some also stated that she should call herself a paralegal seeing that she has a degree in Law.
