Not enough time to change, GEM performs in tee and ripped jeans
13 Jun – After appearing on stage for a performance in just her t-shirt and ripped jeans, GEM recently took to social media to explain the reason why that is.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the singer, who showed off her laidback style at a show in Shantou recently, explained on Instagram Story that the flight she took to Shantou was forced to land in Guangzhou because of the weather.
"We were only able to drive there by land, but the map said that it would take four to five hours. I didn't wear any makeup and was hoping to catch up," she explained.
In another post, GEM revealed that she drew her eyeliner while in the car on her way to the venue, and quickly tied her hair.
"I actually came on stage like this," she said, sharing a photo of her overall look in the post. "This is the plainest look in my performance history."
Despite not being able to get ready properly, fans were very welcoming of the singer, and even expressed their interest in the GEM Revelation tee that she wore during the performance.
