Noraniza Idris files police report after RM630,000 losses

5 Mar - Noraniza Idris has lodged a police report at the Shah Alam Regional Police Headquarters (IPD), alleging that her business has been duped by an entrepreneurial training academy resulting in a loss of nearly RM630,000.

Noraniza, known to fans as Kak Ani, said she realised she had been cheated after the academy failed to make any payment after taking her Che Ani Premium murukku products for sale on their platform for more than a month, estimated at around 20,000 packs.

"I accepted their offer because I wanted to help. Plus, I have been supporting charitable activities for a long time. However, my good intentions were being taken advantage when the party involved violated the agreement by only paying approximately RM3,000 in stages," she said.

Kak Ani said that she has been asking for her money since June, but was met with many excuses.

"The losses include the cost of our special machine to make the murukku, printing, packaging, and employees' salaries," she said, adding that she had to let go more than 10 staff as she was unable to pay them due to what had occurred.

"I can't shut the business down as it is a family business. Whether I want to or not, I have to continue because we are still getting orders online," she added.

Kak Ani said that she finally decided to make a police report so that the other party would come out and explain themselves. She also hopes that the report will help others not to fall victim to such deception.
