Noorkhiriah on celebs taking off hijab: You have to have a strong heart
2 Aug – Actress Noorkhiriah recently shared her two cents on the issue of some female celebrities choosing to take off their hijab after many years.
Following the latest news that singer Masya Masyitah and Azmil Mustapha's actress daughter Alya Iman coming out with their new image sans hijab, Noorkhiriah took to social media to express her thoughts, saying that it seems that everybody is in the race to look the most beautiful in the age of social media.
Stressing that she is not one to judge, Noorkhiriah, who started covering her head in 2011 before finally choosing to wear a full hijab, stated that one should have a strong heart, that they will not be grateful with what they have otherwise.
"It is sad to see so many people deciding not to wear the hijab, but it's your own individual choice. I just pray and hope that I will not face such a test at this age. There is nothing for me to show off," she
Noorkhiriah also expressed hope that these artistes who have decided to change their hijabi image would continue to pray so that they will continue to receive guidance.
"Forgive me if my words hurt you, but as a sister in Islam, it is my responsibility. At least God knows that I have tried. Again, forgive me," she added.
